When Taiyo America started manufacturing in 1995, it set up a DOS-based system and three standalone software programs. Despite efforts to “integrate” these systems, Taiyo realized they weren’t designed to handle the unique needs of a formula-based manufacturer. After evaluating five enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, Taiyo chose an integrated ERP system that offers data visibility across the company.
